These are my glygs. I’m not going to tell you what that means. But they’re probs my best friends.
I find joy in oreos, quoting movies, flip flops, rice krispies, chick flicks, raspberries, nutella, and the color blue. I believe in singing badly to make a bad day better and I love to walk in the rain.

Happy Birthday Harry!
I have nerdy friends.... OK fine I'm a nerd too. Yesterday was Harry Potter's birthday (obviously). We celebrated by drinking butter beer and trying to re-create the cake Hagrid made in the first movie. Oh, and we sang to him.... in British accents.
Roommates
You hear a lot of things about roommates before you go to college that could easily freak you out into getting your own room or living with a family member. I was lucky enough to have 2 (sometimes 5 including the apartment next door and 1 more including Forrest) really fantastic roommates my first year at the Y.
So my roommate Christine..... yeah I never saw her. For as fantastic as she was (is), I'm quite sure that I saw my home teachers more at my apartment than I saw her. Okay, lie. I saw her maybe once a week. And that once a week: man, we made some good memories. Anyway, I needed to blog about this priceless roommate moment that my journal could not do justice. Venice and I decided one day to put a dummy in her room... in her bed... you know... since she was never there.
Look how real it looked! (Er... once it was in her bed)
The view from her door.
When she came home (some 5-10 days after we did it), she walked to her room, opened the door, immediately shut it, came out and said, "who is in my bed?"
We all thought it was pretty great. Love you Christine!

T-Shirt Recycling
What do you do when you’re out of High School and have 30 t-shirts that would suggest otherwise?
You have your mom make you an amazing quilt!
My mom spent hundreds of hours of labor making this blanket.
She gave it to me for Christmas. She calls it “The Quilt That Stole Christmas”
I absolutely love it. I love my mom. It now graces my bed at college.
Every patch (aka t-shirt) has a such a meaningful memory. Here are a few:
Being Glinda, Auntie Em, and an ensemble member in Wizard of Oz.
Sadie’s 09 when we were all different sodas
Utah Ambassadors of Music, European Tour
I love that these still have the collars on them!
Student Government
Among other things.
I’m so happy with how it turned out.

We walked the grounds of Temple Square….
Then we started studying for finals….

Halloween Fun!
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays! It must be the whole changing your identity thing. Actually, I think I just associate it with our Halloween decorations at home. I asked my mom if I could come home for a weekend just so we could put up Halloween. I don’t think she would do it if I wasn’t there and I couldn’t bear that thought.
Here is the parade of costumes this year:
Bryn was a zombie flapper.
Megan was Velma from Scoobie Doo.
Venice and Forrest were Esme and Count Olaf.
Professor Trelawney.
The Party.
We had a pumpkin carving contest and I got my “Y” pumpkin :)
For our ward party, Venice was Dolores Umbridge so obviously we had our differences throughout the night.
Harry Potter nerds forever!
Happy Halloween!! (Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner….. YAY!)
