The happiest place on Earth. Where dreams come true.

IMG_1856
I’m on (much needed) spring break. So what have I been doing you might ask? Well only going to Disneyland!!

I went with my friends Tori, Kelsee, Brad, Venice, and Andrew. Venice was very sick and Brad had surgery on his mouth the day we left. They were good sports, though.
My best friend’s mom, Momma #2, was nice enough to drive us all the way to Cali and her aunt was nice enough to let us stay at her house. Family is wonderful.

Some rides we were forced to go on. Like the teacups! Andrew and Brad were determined to spin us as fast as they possibly could! Dizzy beyond belief.

Space Mountain was our favorite ride, as well as everyone else’s in the park. Anyone else find it weird that our picture was 1984?

The most we ever had to wait in line was 40 minutes. But time flew when we took out Catch Phrase! Our favorite parts of the trip came from playing this.

For some reason, Kelsee and I were the only ones that wanted to get pictures with princesses. So we stood in line, being the oldest ones there without children, for an hour.

Our favorite thing to do was trick Brad and Andrew to sit together on cuddly rides. They loved it.

There’s something about the happiest place on Earth that just makes you happy. We spent 16 hours in Disneyland. Hey, we had to make up for all our driving time.

Yard work, if it's done right, can kill a girl...

I hate yardwork!!! It's something I hope I "grow" into liking but don't find it very likely. I got woken up yesterday morning (my other favorite Saturday task) by mother asking me to help her out back. Before I went out to work, I went to the fridge to acquire my yogurt breakfast and ewwwww: the fridge STINKS! I go to my car to get work gloves and ewwwww: my car is MESSY! I go to put my shoes on and ewwwww: I'm completely out of CLEAN SOCKS! I look for a shovel and ewwwww: there are SPIDERWEBS all over the porch! Needless to say, I did a lot more than yardwork yesterday.

Mom enjoyed herself. Enjoyed torturing me anyway.

The most agonizing task was picking up the hundreds of rocks that blew onto the grass and putting them back so the lawn mower wouldn’t pick them up.

Can you tell how much I love yard work?

I found out that the stink from the fridge was my BIRTHDAY dinner. But it’s clean now.

Prom

This year has been full of “lasts” and two weekends ago was my last high school formal dance ever!
I’m talking about Junior Prom: Senior Style.
My date was Bradley Shirts. What a sweetheart.

I borrowed this beautiful dress from my friend Catherine.  I love blue!

My studly date…

Prom was full of dragons, music, dancing, and of course my very best friends: Jago, Lennie, and Slim.

One of my favorite formal dance traditions is that the Laurels wear their dresses to church the next day.
I think it’s important to show the Beehives and Mia Maids that we dress modestly for all occasions.
I hope we made an impression.
